Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, Penedès

At Sumarroca, the winemaking essence of the most emblematic area of Penedés is condensed through the production of wines and sparkling wines, the innovative drive of a great team of professionals, and a philosophy that expresses freshness, elegance, and smoothness. All of this is achieved through the organic cultivation of more than 400 hectares of their own land.

At Sumarroca, tradition, passion, and knowledge come together to innovate without losing the winery's unique personality and style.

 

 Origins

Its origins date back to the town of Llimiana, in Pallars Jussà. That is where several generations of the Sumarroca family were already dedicated to vine cultivation. In the early 80s, Carles Sumarroca moved to Penedés, where he acquired the Molí Coloma estates in Subirats and Heretat Sabartés in Banyeres del Penedés.

In 1999, he bought the most emblematic estate of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, which was renamed Finca Sumarroca.

Thus, the pillars on which the Sumarroca family's journey has been consolidated and our wines and sparkling wines have been designed as a synonym for unforgettable toasts have been passion for the land, a spirit of work, and continuous innovation, delving into native varieties and introducing foreign ones, and implementing new systems and production processes.




 

Cava (D.O.Cava)

Discover our range of sparkling wines, elegant and Mediterranean, all made with grapes from our estates and with an average aging of 36 months.

 

    

Núria Claverol (D.O.Cava)

Family of exclusive Cavas from Sumarroca. Each of the four cavas we present comes from a specific, classified, and qualified plot/site/vineyard. Ecology, manual harvesting, the selection table, and whole grape pressing preserve the typicity of the terroir and, therefore, the uniqueness of each of our "Nurias."

 

   

Whites (D.O.Penedés)

Mediterranean, mostly based on the native Xarelo variety, both as a single varietal and in blends, where we seek freshness, elegance, and persistence on the palate. Organic!
