Otto Bestué

At the end of 1990, Lorenzo Otto Calvo, together with his son Lorenzo Otto Bestué, who gives the winery its name by combining the family name, embarked on the project to build a completely renovated winery, capable of producing quality wines while always respecting the typicality and authenticity conferred by their own vineyards.

Almost 30 years later, it is Ignacio Otto Cardiel, in the third generation, who joins the family project to work towards the consolidation of the renowned brand, both in strengthening its foreign market and in expanding throughout the national territory.

Thanks to their family legacy, the winery currently owns 45 hectares of the highest quality vineyards in the DO Somontano, spread across five estates: Mezquita, La Sierra, El Plano, Santa Sabina, and Rableros. From these estates come the different grape varieties used to produce the wines: Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, the latter two used to make the renowned Bestué Finca Santa Sabina.
