Our story begins around the waters of the Miño. Ribeiro, a famous wine region since the Late Middle Ages, in the crown of León and Castile.

Where in the forties and fifties, after the postwar, many of the young people in the area had to emigrate as it was their only way out, crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

This is the background of Ramón González, the future founder of the Prado Do Miño winery. He departs for Venezuela in 1955.

Ramón, over the years, achieves his goals in this new country, gets married, has children, and gradually acquires his plots of land in his long-dreamed homeland.

From there arises the great dream of the Ramón Do Casar winery, carried on by his three sons, who from Venezuela began to build their father's dream.

The main grape used in the winery is Treixadura, the queen of grapes in this Galician wine region, and the main symbol of Ribeiro.

Ramón Do Casar helped the Denomination to once again raise the importance of this variety, so forgotten.

With his creations, he has recently earned excellent awards at the local, regional, national, and international levels.

Becoming a benchmark winery throughout Galicia.
