Prieto Pariente

Prieto Pariente

The essence of Bodegas Prieto Pariente is based on the practice of viticulture in our land and the expression of the terroir of Castilla y León through unique wines.

The brothers Martina and Ignacio Prieto Pariente – third generation of Bodegas José Pariente (D.O. Rueda) – they have traveled the region in search of the older and unique vineyards, from the province of Valladolid, crossed by the river Duero, up to the mineral slopes in the Sierra de Gredos.
Their goal is to create wines with a unique and distinctive personality, offering a differentiating character, a profile of freshness, and complexity.

THE SIERRA DE GREDOS

In the Sierra de Gredos they produce single-varietal wine Prieto Pariente Boundaries. The grapes come from two old vineyards of Garnacha located in Cebreros and San Bartolomé de Pinares, at over 1000 meters in altitude and with soils of slate and granite.
They have chosen these two vineyards precisely because of the difference in soils. The granite adds verticality and elegance to the wine, while the slate shows minerality, volume, and opulence. The combination of both soils offers a complex and balanced wine, and the altitude favors the fresh notes of fruit and adds a natural acidity to the wine.

THE HIGHLANDS OF VALLADOLID

The province of Valladolid Contains a great diversity of vineyards; very old vineyards that are examples of ancestral viticulture, with low production and a special character.
For red wines, we work with the grape varieties Tempranillo and Garnacha, from old vineyards with very low yields, located in the municipalities of Valladolid Mucientes, Pedrosa del Rey, and Valbuena de Duero. Each plot is vinified separately, allowing the winery to select the most suitable blend for each of the wines.
Additionally, they have a white wine of the variety Viognier, from La Seca.
