Costers del Sió

 THE FARM

 In a place on the Ribera del Río Sió called Flix, an old reserve and blocks of the Counts of Urgell 798-1413, the Porcioles-Buixó family created a wine-growing project in 1998 aimed at obtaining high quality wines, with all the nuances and flavors that this riverbank, due to its soils and its microclimate, can offer us.r.

The estate covers 700 hectares, of which 92 are destined to own vineyards for the production of high quality wines.

Costers del Sió It is located in the D.O. Costers del Segre, in Catalonia.

Inside the D.O. Costers del Segre there are seven different subzones. The one that belongs to the winery is Artesa de Segre.

A natural space of surprising beauty, a haven of peace and tranquility, which combines other crops such as olive trees and cereals with its own sheep and cattle ranching and a hunting ground.

Everything is complemented within our comprehensive project in a perfect ecological balance.

The winery

The most significant thing that we can find in the wineries is the barrel aging room, one of the specialties.
